"merry" Christmas

As the anticipation of celebrating Christmas was drawing near... a few thoughts crossed my mind:
How are the families who have a loved one serving our country over seas? Or how are those families who will never see their loved one because they paid the ultimate sacrifice? How are the people whose spouse left them for another... and this is their first Christmas alone while the other person is off making happy memories... or any memories without them. How is that family who lost a child this year?

I know that "Jesus is the reason for the season" but to me Christmas is also a time to share joys and love with family. There are several people who I hold dear to my heart who have to live through Christmas with a broken home and a broken heart. My heart is with them... always.

My prayer is for all of us to look at the blessings in our lives and hold it close. Take a deep breath in and let it out. Share that good energy with ones around you who could use some help.

The journey ahead is still there until the Lord calls us home. In any point in our lives we might be faced with hardships and it always comes like a thief in the night. I hope that when that time comes you can have the love and support from someone who has  been in a place like that and can help lead you to sanity. We all loose our sanity every once in a while anyways...
