March is coming to an end

March 13th, Tahlia graduated to her toddler bed! She doesnt really fall out.
And our happy little girl feels like a million bucks... you can just tell by the smile on her face :)

There she is, sleeping in her big girl bed!

Our silly girl put this on her own hand and started playing with it.

Getting bigger every time I look around!

Yes, the mess behind her is hers. and yes, that smile melts my heart... its easy to forgive her :)

We check in on her before we go to bed. One night, this is what we found. :)

This is the mood in our home on this sunny, cool day.
We were hopeful Dan would get one of the jobs that opened up at his Armory, but no such luck. This is Dan's second year actively searching for a career or a job with the Army and with every turn-down, the hope drifts further and further away in our hearts. We are still thankful he actually HAS a job and that it is just enough (some weeks) to get us by. We are thankful for many things we have in our lives and for our families. There is just this knot in my throat that cant just go away. The fact that this job opportunity is not at our grasp is one more hope that has been thrown away. Our hope to live comfortably enough to start a savings account. Our hope to work up instead of feeling like we are on this treadmill. Our hope to move on and buy that house we have been looking at is a little further today.
We are a faithful family, I swear... its just times like this where we need prayer because its times like this where faith is hard to hold onto.

There is nothing that can bring me down today!
My baby said "I love you" to me for the very first time as I was dropping her off at my father in laws to go to work :)

I feel more and more like a mom every day!

In the first week of March...

This has a pretty eventful start of the month.
Tahlia's bottom molars are FINALLY coming through so she has another cold but no diaper rash which is a big score.
Dan will be getting promoted any drill day now :) and we are crossing our fingers for an ARG opportunity for him to open up.
We got our federal taxes done which is nice and Tahlia tried chili powder... which proved to be amusing to see her reaction. She has really been getting silly by the minute! When she gets sad or embarrassed, she started to cover her eyes (dont know where she got that from). She is still spouting out the most random words here and there: "catch", "Welcome" (as in, "your welcome" after you say "Thank you" to her), "car" and she calls every old man she sees "pappa".
