Hello All!
Thought Id let you know about the adventurous day we had today :)
After Dan got home from work, he let me sleep in a little bit before he went to bed, what a guy!
Upon waking up, I decided to go to church but just then it started to sleet. We still need new tires and I didnt want to chance the drive so I called off those plans. After playing with Tahlia for a bit, I realized she was getting pretty fussy and I could just tell she was being "cabin-feverish"... and so was I.
I thought I would seize the opportunity to go to the Wisconsin Humane Society and show Tahlia all of the animals.
The best way to describe Tahlia as she went room to room at WHS looking at all the kitties and doggies, well... in short, it was her heaven! She got the cutest little belly laugh when she put her finger in the ventilation holes for the kitty rooms and they would braze past or nudge her little finger. Every kitty she saw, she would say, "Meow, meow, meow" to it. And just a quick FYI: Tahlia's "Meow" sounds like "WOW, WOW, WOW"- not only that but she does the little nodding head motion with it... too cute, give me a heart attack... carrying on...
so we make it to the dog kennels and she yet again, couldnt get enough! She started prancing around looking at every single dog. Occasionally she would forget that there was a glass barrier and bonk her head on the glass of a dog kennel... followed by keeping her face pressed against the glass. She loves puppies and she could not stop saying, "pup, pup!". I warned her that she better stop being so cute otherwise someone would try and adopt her! HA!
After that adventure, I thought, "Why not go to Pet World (which is right by our house)?" So we did. She loves the fish the best and I cannot wait to buy the house we will settle in so I can start my dream of having a Salt Water habitat. After the fish, she wanted to see the birds. I told her that is fine but she is never going to have one for a pet! :) I fell in love with a Uromastyx... never thought I would consider a scaly-lizard for a pet! But I like their temperament and the fact that no one can be allergic to them AND creating a little dessert habitat for them would be pretty nice neat to do! Plus I know Dan would love to have lizards again... he really misses his Big Man. It make me feel good to know that he can have that again.
Once we got home, we had lunch, watched Aladdin, ate popcorn and it was nap-time for her. Dan woke right before I put her to bed and I told him about the Uromastyx at Pet World. So we went to check it out together and I must say, a new addition to our family might be right around the corner in the shape of a little scaly creature. Pretty exciting! And I love to see that smile on his face, he deserves the world :)
Till we meet again,
Jessa
