What a day!

My good friend Jackie came over with treats and socks lol. Its so good to catch up with her and hang out. We rented "Buried" off Redbox and realized it sucked! HA! I cannot believe the whole movie was spent under the ground... in this box! I think this might have been the director's idea to see if he could actually pull it off. Well, it sucked. But it was still awesome good times talking about wedding planning and her engagement, so fun to catch up! :)

In the middle of the movie my girl Vie came over with her cutie-pa-tootie aka: Tahlia's BFF :) It is amazing to watch them play together. After Jackie left, I busted out our wedding video for Vie and I to watch. Dan was outside making a fire and we were just about to eat when Tahlia fell and hit her mouth on the foot rest. The fall looked like it hurt, but I didnt think it would leave damage... wrong! I picked her up and as soon as I told her she was okay, I looked at her mouth and saw a pool of blood :( I grabbed a rag and brought her to the bathroom to clean her mouth and the blood just kept coming! Thank goodness Vie was there because at that point, I almost lost it... okay, maybe I did loose it a bit... its so hard to see your baby bleed! Honestly, I dont think I EVER saw so much blood. Vie is a nursing student and amazing. She took control and I was her nursing assistant.

She took a look at the lip and said it would be good to go to the ER. We get there, still have not eaten... and on the way, the bleeding finally stopped. We waited and waited and waited in the waiting room. I understand priority but we saw everyone that was in there get waited on... and a whole new bunch of people too! It seriously gets to the point where your baby has had enough and we had enough but you say, "better play it safe then be sorry".  Vie brought us the dinner I made so Tahlia finally ate at like 7:45. At 8:45, I asked them if they could just squeeze us in because it was past her bed time and I knew she would be even more of a handful to handle the longer we waited.

When Tahlia fell, she totally ripped the flap of skin that connects your top lip to your gums which caused extra skin to be released in between her 2 front teeth. The cut seemed fine but they were concerned with the tissue in between her teeth. After shooting her up with numbing medicine, giving her IBpro. and poking and prodding at her gums, they finally got a doctor to look at her. The doc took one 2sec. look at it and said, ''its nothing to be worried about. Keep it clean and go to the pediatrician within a week.'' And that was it!

At 9:45, we finally left, exhausted and irritated and warn out from holding our screaming... delusional daughter. Its 10:30 and I am finally getting an appetite to eat. Dan is in bed and Tahlia, she is out cold. I hope to never go to the ER again... but with Tahlia taking after her daddy wayyyy TOO MUCH, I think this was just the beginning...

Thank you God for testing our Patience today, I am sure it was meant for a good reason! lol

GOODNIGHT to one of the most terrible nights ever :(

"Zodiac"

So I guess the Zodiac signs have changed... all I have to say is, I am glad I am still a Leo. But seriously, this just proves my point that the Eastern signs hold better ground then the Western ones- GO OX! lol

Today was the new student orientation! It was a lot of sitting and listening to lectures. But I was able to get my student ID and books. I met some really nice people too :) After lunch we split into our majors. Culinary Management went into the kitchen where the chef was waiting for us and everyone had their stations all set up and ready to work. We chopped an onion and we "Julienned" a carrot! I never cut a carrot like that before and it was great! I loved working with "real" knives! Dan and I dont have ONE knife that can cut like that... one day soon, I will have a nice knife set to work with :) I was thinking about starting another blog that would be strictly about my experience as a student. I am so happy to be doing this and I cannot wait to get the "Gen-ed" classes out of the way so I can finally start class in the kitchen! I would love to share my experience with you all... this is a wonderful journey for me and my family :)

This is Dan's second week of school. And we are starting to get a grip on our new schedule. Its kinda neat because we are both taking Psychology! I am so proud of us! Even though not seeing each other so much will be a tad challenging, it will pay off in the end. Besides, we went through a year long deployment... I think this doesnt compare so there is nothing to complain about :)

Here are a few pictures from this week. Enjoy!

Tahlia has this new love for rocking horses :)

"Weeeee!"

"Splashy, splashy, splash, splash... splashy, splashy SPLASH!"

I cannot, CANNOT wait until tomorrow!!! I have been looking forward to bringing Tahlia to Parent-Tyke for a while now. The last couple of sessions I wasnt able to take her because I was scheduled to work and my father in law or her God-Mother (Korrine) would bring her in and swim with her in the class. I loved seeing her in the middle of the day but it was so bitter-sweet! I was kinda jealous and really wanted to get into the water with her. Well, this session I will be able to because I cut the hours I worked on Tuesday to be with her. I figured I should open as many hours as we can handle now that we are going to be in school so I can have open time to spend with Tahlia and/or homework.

I am not worried at all about the $$ situation... even though things are tight, I know that we are in God's hands and Him and I are tight like that... I just can feel His hands on our lives! So I will continue to enjoy my family and we will enjoy each other and live the lives we were created for.

It is time for bed. I must wake up at 6 to do my Pilates. Its amazing how awesome the day feels when it starts off right :)
